2026 Thistle Run
Sunday 24th May @1000hrs
You are invited to join us for the return of the Thistle Run after last years successful run to Forrestburn.
The run will start from The Falkirk Wheel and finish at Largs. The route will take in some country roads and will be about 70 miles and take approx 2.5-3 hours.
Entrants will be issued with a detailed route prior to the event via Google Maps, you will need to provide an email address or mbl number for this. There will be no ‘Mini’ signs or printed maps for this event
Eligibility
1. All vehicles must be registered, licensed, insured, and have a MOT where applicable
2. Drivers must hold a current driving licence for the vehicles being driven
3. Drivers must have valid insurance in accordance with Road Traffic Act requirements and will be required to sign a declaration to that effect. (Declaration of Indemnity form will be sent via email on receipt of entrance form)
Entries
The Entry will be £20 which will include a run plaque, T-Shirt and a mug and also covers the cost of event insurance. Entries are going to be limited to 100 vehicles at this time unless further demand requires it. A 'run pack' will be available at the starting point from 0900hrs.
Closing date for entries is FRIDAY 15th MAY 2026.

Refund of entry fees will be at the organiser’s discretion.
At the start, entrants will be required to register with the Organisers. They should ensure their vehicle is roadworthy and conforms to Eligibility. Start and Route Cars will leave the Start at Falkirk Wheel car park from 1000hrs at 30 second intervals. Entrants should be at the start at least 30 minutes before the start time.
