About this Event
Give your teen the opportunity to build real baking skills this summer in a professional studio environment.
Led by Chef Tai Heath — professional pastry chef, entrepreneur, former high school educator, and co-owner of 5-12 Dessert and The Baker’s Lab — this Teen Summer Baking Experience is designed for teens who are ready to explore, develop, or strengthen their baking and decorating skills.
Open to both boys and girls. No prior baking experience required.
Whether your teen is just getting started or already has a growing interest in baking, this experience is designed to meet students at their level while encouraging creativity, confidence, and skill progression.
WHAT ATTENDEES WILL LEARN AT OUR TEEN SUMMER BAKING EXPERIENCE?
Attendees will...
- Learn foundational to intermediate baking and decorating techniques
- Practice piping, finishing, and presentation skills
- Work both independently and with guided instruction
- Gain insight into professional kitchen workflows
- Explore creativity through hands-on projects
- Be introduced to real-world perspectives within the baking industry
- Students will complete daily baking activities, with select items taken home.
⏰ Experience Hours
Full Day: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Half Day: 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Full-day attendees must bring a packed lunch and water bottle.
⭐ Full Day vs Half Day
Our half-day option focuses on core baking instruction.
Full-day attendees benefit from additional time to apply what they learn through decorating, creative projects, and collaborative activities — making it a more rewarding overall experience.

May be available on a limited, request-only basis for families who need a slightly later pickup window.
This time allows attendees to continue practicing techniques, refining their work, and building skills in a relaxed, supervised studio environment.
📌 Extended studio time is not guaranteed and must be arranged in advance based on availability.
