The Vermilion Boat Club and Vermilion's local T-10 fleet are once again thrilled to be hosting the T-10 North American Championship (T-10 NAC), August 12th - August 16th! Sailors and shore crew can expect a warm welcome and amazing race-cation throughout their stay in our fun little town both on and off the water! If you were here in 2016 you know what we are talking about, and we are poised to RUN IT BACK for the 2026 T-10 NAC!
BOAT LAUNCHING/TRAILERS: FREE
Courtesy of Christy and Don Parsons Inc., boat launching is available starting Monday August 10th for any early arrivals. Yes, Parsons has a Travel Lift and mast crane, so launch and haul out should be a breeze! Unfortunately, you will have to figure out your own TUNE and if you need a trailer to haul your boat from Chicago to Vermilion, OH, please check with HOOLIGAN RACING.
DOCKING: FREE
Docks are to be provided at the VBC for out of town boats Wednesday through Sunday. Docks will be assigned upon arrival.
For early arrivals, please work with event organizers for special accommodations.
SAILING VENUE: PERFECT!
Prepare for unobstructed open water racing near the southernmost point of Lake Erie, guaranteeing a range of "Lake Erie" conditions, perfect for championship-level sailing. Easy access to and from the racecourse. For sailing conditions expect fresh(ish) water and a little bit of everything from light to heavy, flat water, count on some chop, and maybe even some mountainous waves at times. We really don't have any local knowledge around here, but the locals would advise you to start clean, sail fast, and hit the shifts which should put you in a great position by the end of the event!

ACCOMODATIONS:
HOUSING: We recommend you work on this first and foremost because Vermilion is no longer the best kept secret on the south shore of Lake Erie, as we are officially a major summer destination! A list of local hotels, Air BnBs, VRBOs, and Private Rental Options are being comprised and will soon be shared in the forthcoming Notice of Race (NOR) found on Yacht Scoring.
CAMPING/RV: Not permitted onsite at the VBC, however we are exploring a space to be made available for RV's, as this has become a popular sleep option for traveling teams. At the end of the day we are happy to help you get settled, so please contact the organizing authority (OA) for any questions or additional help needed.
GROCERY: Giant Eagle and Vermilion Farm Market less than 5 minute drive from the club.

VERMILION BOAT CLUB:
The Vermilion Boat Club is a family friendly establishment with amenities for your enjoyment throughout your stay. We have a full time staff along with many event volunteers working together to make your stay a memorable one!
Amenities in no particular order include a pool, three natural gas grills, new bulkhead with water/electric, playground, green spaces, 2 Ton Hoist, private parking, and conveniently located within walking distance from historic harbor town shops, beaches, and restaurants!
The VBC Cuisine by Executive Chef Mike and his team offer a tasty noon - 4pm Lunch service every day in the summer, as well as a fantastic rotating menu and dinner service on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 4-9pm. Wednesday and Friday dinner service are very popular at our club, so please RSVP in advance for sit down dining.
The Dockside Pub (pool bar) is going to be your best bet for cocktails and a quick bite to eat.
YES, the POOL is available for sailors and shore crew to enjoy during your time with us. Lifeguards are on staff, and don't forget to check-in with VBC attendant upon entry. Please adhere to the rules posted. No outside food/beverage in the Pool Area and Dining spaces.

Pleas RSVP with the club by calling ahead. If you prefer dining inside, we have an upstairs/street level dining room which includes a bar (no hats in dining room please!). If fresh air is your thing we have the upstairs deck just off the dining room overlooking the club grounds which is great for a sunset. Those of you who prefer ground level can enjoy the outdoor Dining Tent.
