Join Brevard County Libraries for an out of this world Summer Reading Program – Dinosaurs in Space!Start your Summer Reading adventure at our Kick Off party on June 6, 2026! This free, family-friendly event will be hosted at the Catherine Schweinsberg Rood Central Library from 10 AM - 1 PM.
Get your ultra-violet boogie on at the silent disco, interact with dinosaurs with Raptor Events Florida, or chill out in the sensory room. Kids can also enjoy a volcano-themed obstacle course and other great activities! Community Partner Space Coast Area Transit will also continue their free Read to Ride Program. Youth 18 and under can ride the bus for free all summer long, just by showing a valid Brevard County Library Card. The Read to Ride program runs from May 23, 2026 – August 9, 2026 and provides transportation on 23 routes with over 1,000 stops throughout Brevard. Stop by any Brevard County Library to register for a library card; a parent or guardian must be present for readers under the age of 18. Residents 18 and older, who don’t already have a library card, can apply for a digital library card online!
