2026 Summer Model Train ShowTuesday, June 16 - Saturday, June 20 - 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Daily
The 2026 Summer Model Train Show is taking place from Tuesday, June 16th to Saturday, June 20th at the American Windmill Museum. The Lubbock Model Railroad Association (LMRA) will have a variety of model train layouts on display throughout the museum, including the AWM's large permanent G-scale exhibit. The CATS - Clovis Area Train Society will also be displaying a large N-scale layout, dimensions of 40' x 40'! This layout will be going to the National Model Railroad Show in Chattanooga, TN this summer as part of the record breaking National TTrak display. Come get a preview of about 1,600 sq feet of a 10,000 sq foot display that will contribute to the record breaking layout! We will also have trains that kids of all ages can run and build!
Admission is $7 per person, with kids 3 and under and AWM members getting in for free. On Saturday, 4 train-themed raffle prizes will be drawn (including 2 LEGO Train Sets), with tickets available for $1 each or 6 tickets for $5, and all proceeds benefiting the LMRA. Whether you’re a model train enthusiast or just looking for a fun summer outing, this event is sure to be a great experience for all ages!
