2026 Summer Intersession Registration (6/1 - 8/5) - Kumano I Ke Ala

Mahalo for your interest in the 2026 Summer Intersession Program with Kumano I Ke Ala!

This program gives your keiki hands-on experience in traditional and modern agricultural practices that sustain our island communities. Interns will explore every part of the farm system — from planting and machine operations to data collection, KNF practices, and poi mill production.

This program is designed to help youth:

• Develop skills rooted in Hawaiian values.
• Build confidence and discipline through daily farm work.
• Understand sustainable food systems and environmental stewardship.
• Strengthen their connection to ʻāina, community, and cultural identity.

• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Waiver: All keiki must submit a signed Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form before starting

• Comfortable work clothes that can get dirty
• Hat and sunscreen
• Refillable water bottle
• Snacks or lunch
• Towel and change of clothes (optional)
