Several times each year, RecognizeGood honors individual volunteers with a show of appreciation called a Legend award - this award shows gratitude to those who go above and beyond for others, encourages them to do even more good, and best of all inspires others to follow in their footsteps.

Over the course of January, the community is able to say Thank You to each Legend by voting for one or all by means of a variety of voting methods including RecognizeGood.org, email, text, hand-written Thank You forms, and social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter/X. This period is called the Say Thanks, Austin campaign. Once the Thank You votes have been tallied, the participant with the most votes receives a pay-it-forward donation of $10,000 to the nonprofit organization of their choice. Most importantly, our community focuses attention on those who truly deserve it, and are inspired to find ways to contribute themselves.

This annual event allows us to honor a group of extraordinary community servants and literally "say thanks" for all the time and acts of good that they have given. It is during this Say Thanks, Austin closing ceremony where campaign results are announced, donations are handed out, and we gather together to show appreciation one last time.
