The Playtri Open Water Club is the longest-running weekly open water program in the DFW Metroplex. Athletes from all over DFW and from a variety of local and national coaching programs join us every week throughout the season.
Swims will only take place when reported water temperature is ABOVE 56 degrees F per the TX Parks & Wildlife measure below:

March 21st start date will be dependent on water temperature reaching an acceptable level.
SWIM DETAILS:
Swims every Saturday at 7:30 AM (weather permitting - we will swim in rain but NOT thunder, lightning, or wind conditions deemed unsafe by coaching/lifeguard staff)
Please arrive by 7:20 AM for a prompt start
Saturday OWS is free to current Playtri athletes
Non-Playtri athletes can pay $10 cash ONLY (NO VENMO OR ZELLE) to drop-in
We offer two coached groups for skill work and longer swimming
There is a lifeguard and watercraft at every training session
We meet at the parking lot east of the RV park (map on website)
Brightly colored swim cap mandatory
Wetsuits mandatory when water is below 60 degrees, please reach out individually if you have an exceptional circumstance (i.e. extensive prior cold-water swimming experience)
Printed OWS waiver AND Playtri online waiver required to swim- both waivers available at: www.playtri.com/playtri-dfw-open-water
