About this Event
The Sarah Lawrence College Poetry Festival takes place in April each year and is the largest, open, student-run poetry festival in New York. Since 2003, we have been dedicated to the celebration of contemporary poetry and the creation of community around the art form. Previously, we have welcomed poets such as Tracy K. Smith, Anne Carson, Nicole Sealy, Jos Charles, Eduardo C. Corral, and many others.
Free and open to the public, this year our festival will happen April 17th-19th, here on our beautiful campus in Bronxville, NY! We are proud to feature readings, craft talks, panels, and generative sessions with Cameron Awkward-Rich, Chen Chen, Joan Kwon Glass, Diane Goettel, Elisa Gonzalez, Kimiko Hahn, Dorothea Lasky, Sahar Muradi, Carl Phillips, Carey Salerno, Sampson Starkweather, Mosab Abu Toha, and Monica Youn, as well as SLC faculty poets Darcie Dennigan, Marie Howe, Miller Oberman, and R.A. Villanueva. Books will be sold through our friends at local Transom Bookshop. Free merch and meals will be available.
