On Monday, March 23, 2026, the City of Saco and Save Our Shores Saco Bay will hold the seventh annual Saco Bay Symposium from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM in the second-floor auditorium at Saco City Hall (300 Main Street).Panelists include government officials, scientists, and educators who will talk about the latest developments toward coastal resiliency in Camp Ellis and Saco Bay at large, including the 2026 York County dredge project and the ongoing U.S. Army Corps of Engineers jetty spur project.
The keynote speech by marine geologist Peter Slovinsky with the Maine Geological Survey will be followed by a panel discussion. While the public is welcome to attend or watch live, this is a moderated panel discussion and there will be no public participation during the symposium.
The event will be streamed live on the City of Saco Government Facebook page (www.facebook.com/sacomaine) and City of Saco YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/cityofsacoTV). A recording will be available on our YouTube channel immediately following the event.
