2026 Robert W. Anderson Charity Golf Outing at Preserve at Verdae Golf Club

We invite you to participate in our annual Robert W. Anderson, Jr. Golf Outing at the Preserve at Verdae Golf Course on May 30, 2026, in Greenville, South Carolina. Check-in opens at 8:00 am, with a Shotgun start at 9 AM (Lunch starts at ~1:30 PM). Drive range and chipping greens will be available to players early that morning.

This annual Golf Outing is a major fundraiser for the Luke H. Chatman Scholarship and has supported Several AGF Events (see below). It has been held since 1996, annually since 2003 (with a pause during the pandemic), at various local golf courses in the Greenville, SC, Area.

The Preserve is an 18-hole, par 72 championship golf course designed by Willard Byrd, carved into a lush Carolina Forest with hills and mountain-like brooks. Near Haywood Mall. With a stay at Embassy Suites Greenville Golf Resort & Conference Center in Greenville, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Haywood Mall and Greenville Convention Center. This golf hotel is 6.2 mi (10.1 km) from Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital and 6.6 mi (10.6 km) from Bon Secours Wellness Arena.

There is a round of golf and a pre-golf meal at the Preserve at Verdae Golf Course for $150 per person.

This will include a donation to the Alpha Greenville Foundation and be used by Alpha Phi Alpha Greenville Foundation to execute Foundation efforts including, but not limited to, the following efforts:

• for Upstate South Carolina
• for Greenville County (for High School Students)
• for Greenville County (co-sponsored with Furman University)
• (fundraising event)
• for High School (sponsors students to attend a leadership institute at a regionally located University)
• , a new year-long mentorship and rites-of-passage experience, is dedicated to celebrating and empowering young African American men.
• for Greenville County High School Students (co-sponsored with Furman University)
• for Males ages 12-18
  (supported by GGL of ΑΦΑ and March of Dimes)

• Post-Golf Meal ($25.00)
• Foundation Contribution* ($50.00)
• $150.00 Total payment plus card fees

All monies must be received by Friday, May 23, 2026 (12 AM)

* A receipt for this amount will indicate the contribution to the 501c3 Alpha Phi Alpha Greenville Foundation.
