2026 PVCC Student Recognition Ceremony

The Puma Choice Awards will be held on Wednesday, May 6th at 6:30 pm in the Center for Performing Arts.

Every year, the PVCC's Student Government and Office of Student Life and Leadership recognizes our outstanding student leaders and student organizations at our annual Student Recognition Awards Ceremony.

This year's ceremony will feature a dessert reception and will recognize student leadership in the following areas:

• Athletics
• Service to a Student Organization
• Fine and Performing Arts

- and the Golden Puma and Puma Paw awards for outstanding leadership, athletics, fine and performing arts, and/or service achievement.

This year's event will be held in Center for Performing Arts at 6:30pm

The Alumni Award is presented to an alum who has achieved one or more of the following: 1. Achievement in his/her professional career, 2. Community and volunteer service, 3. Commitment to the PVCC values of life-long learning and positive social change, 4. Service to or engagement with the PVCC community.

The Puma Paw is reserved for students who demonstrate superior college and/or community involvement. These awards are presented to a student who has completed at least 12 credits.

The Distinguished Student Leadership Award is the highest honor bestowed upon three students annually at PVCC. This award recognizes model students who have integrated academic excellence with achievement in areas such as leadership, athletics, community service, fine and performing arts, entrepreneurship and career achievement. This award is presented to a student who has completed at least 24 credits.
