About this Event
The Principles First Summit is back for its sixth annual grassroots convening in Washington, D.C. The event will be held from Friday, February 20 through Sunday, February 22 and will be by far the largest yet. Space will be limited, so get your ticket(s) today.
The Principles First Summit has become a key gathering for those who feel alienated by the politics of our current moment and who sense that we are losing sight of the critical formula that has made America great. We intend to be the premier home for every person in the country who is ready to move past the politics of chaos and division in a new direction with a new coalition of voters focused on conserving America's core classically liberal tradition of individual rights, constitutional government, innovation and enterprise, and the rule of law. If that's you—Principles First is where you belong.
What happens at the Principles First Summit?
We look forward to bringing together principled public officials, thought leaders, and grassroots activists for three days of panels, speeches, networking, and discussion. We will address how we can preserve America’s classical liberal tradition, and how to deliver competent, solutions-driven leadership to advance our movement and improve our country.
The Summit is where we will convene, organize, elevate leaders, and discuss a defining set of ideas and policies for this growing new space in our politics — for 2026 and beyond, and from the local to the federal level. We firmly believe that the country is hungry for and needs new rallying points and institutions in politics and that the Principles First Summit can be a small but significant part of that new wave.
Speakers, agenda, and additional logistical information will follow closer to the Summit. Please visit this page to see the most up-to-date details about the Summit.
Who Will Be There?
Last year, more than 1200 people from around the country registered for the Summit — our largest to date. People of all backgrounds and political persuasions are welcome, and our grassroots network of volunteers and state-by-state delegations will be on hand to connect with those who are interested in supporting the movement at one of our regional dinners throughout the year. Speakers will include nationally-recognized leaders in the principled pro-rule of law, pro-democracy community.
Significance of the Moment
We are living through a pivot point for liberal democracy, the rule of law, and America’s republican tradition. This moment calls for a new coalition of sober-minded, solutions-oriented leaders to offer an alternative vision to that of the extremists and demagogues. Building that movement requires finding common cause with disparate allies and identifying common-sense solutions to America’s problems. The Summit and the Principles First movement is where that happens.
Who Funds This Event?
Other gatherings cost hundreds of dollars to attend and line the pockets of their organizers. Ours is different. The Summit is accessible to everyone with low-cost ticket options. This is about our ideas, and we want everyone who wants to attend to be able to join us.
