About this Event
The Historic Harrisburg Association is pleased to honor the Alexanders
Historic Harrisburg’s “2026 Preservation Celebration and A Toast to the Alexanders!” will occur at the Whitaker on Thursday, May 14, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. This year, HHA honors William H. and Marion C. Alexander and their son Charles, whose impact on the built environment spreads across the disciplines of construction, fundraising, and architectural design. The event will be held in the Kunkel Gallery and will include a heavy hors d’oeuvre reception, a silent auction, and a presentation of Historic Harrisburg’s 2026 Preservation Awards.
Since its founding in 1973, the Historic Harrisburg Association has been “promoting historic preservation, urban revitalization, and smart growth,” working collaboratively with all levels of government and partnering organizations. Largely because of the work of Historic Harrisburg and its civic partners, Harrisburg today stands as a primary example of how historic preservation is instrumental in reversing the decline of American cities.
