OVERPOWER Drops the Gauntlet: 2026 Nationals Locked In!
With all four Regional Qualifiers wrapped, OverPower Card Game officially announces the date of its 2026 National Tournament!
Fans from all over the country have been building decks, completing missions and building the OverPower CCG community one battle at a time at a series of regional tournaments that are drawing fans old and new. The battle for the ages has been announced: the 2026 OverPower Nationals, the official community’s pro tour!

If life, fate, or just plain rotten luck kept you from an event, or you came heartbreakingly close but didn’t quite snag a qualifying spot, you’ve still got a shot. We’ll be running a last-chance qualifier the day before Nationals, on February 27th, starting at 10am at the Greater Columbus Convention Center! A free OverPower tournament, top 8 gaining a nationals invite, and your chance to become the Cinderella headliner of Season Zero—winning two events in two days and walking out as the 2025 OverPower National Champion. You pull this off and Legend status will be unlocked. The pre-registration link for this Friday event will be published on Carde.io by December 12th.

About Heroes and Games
A comic book and gaming store that opened in 2010, Heroes and Games has grown through two expansions over the years and now has one of the biggest game play spaces in Columbus. Hosting events and live-streaming seven days a week, there’s always something to do at the Greater Columbus Convention Center!
As huge fans of the Overpower game, Heroes and Games is very excited to be hosting this event! Over 100 players are expected to attend the first Overpower Nationals in over 25 years!
About OverPower Card Game
In 1995, Fleer launched OverPower to an intensely rabid fanbase, quickly creating a competitive community that spanned the world. Unlike most CCGs of its time, OverPower offered a distinctly different approach to strategy and structure. Though the game was discontinued at the height of its popularity in the late 2000s, pockets of players around the country kept it alive with local communities and regular tournaments. Then a few years ago, four longtime players from across the country – businessmen who had met through tournaments and the online community – bonded together to purchase the company and reinvigorate the game. Today, they are currently producing new sets that include hot pop culture IPs like Skybound (e.g. The Walking Dead, Invincible), Top Cow (e.g. The Darkness, Witchblade, Cyberforce) and Edgar Rice Burroughs (e.g. Tarzan, John Carter), and utilizing the stellar artistry of comics superstars including Phillip Tan, Marc Silvestri, Joe Jusko, Jae Lee, Adam Kubert and more.
