The Teddy Bear Parade is a one-hour processional over a 1.10-mile route and an Oregon City family and community tradition for almost 30 years with fun floats of all sights and sounds!
The parade gathers teddy bears and stuffed animals that are then given to law enforcement agencies, fire departments, emergency rooms, children’s help centers, hospitals and women’s shelters in Clackamas County. These stuffed animals are then re-homed to children throughout our community who need comfort in times of crisis.
Where do the bears come from?
Participants decorate and people from the community are encouraged to come and gift bears to decorate the floats.
Businesses can also sign up to host a Bear Box during the month of April to collect donations.
The parade is also a time for us to honor our emergency personnel who protect the entire community.
Questions, to volunteer, sponsor or to host a Bear Box, please email [email protected] or call 503-452-0440.
Thank you to everyone who helps make this tradition possible every year including ROTC, City of Oregon City, ODOT, Parks & Recreation, Maralee's, Orego
n City Lions Club and Clackamas Amateur Radio Emergency Services (CARES) and others.
