About this Event
This statewide gathering will bring together faculty, administrators, and practitioners to explore how colleges can sustain, strengthen, and expand noncredit programming on their campuses. As colleges across California navigate shifting enrollment patterns and evolving community needs, the institute will provide a space for practitioners to share promising practices, examine equity-centered approaches to program development, and build collegial networks that support this essential mission. Sessions will address topics central to noncredit education, including curriculum development and approval processes, strategies for building institutional support and visibility for noncredit programs, alignment with credit pathways and workforce initiatives, and approaches to serving the diverse populations who benefit most from noncredit offerings.
The institute welcomes participation from faculty teaching in noncredit programs, noncredit coordinators, curriculum specialists, academic senate leaders, and administrators committed to advancing noncredit education. Attendees will leave with practical tools and renewed connections to colleagues engaged in this work throughout the state.
