Fort Wayne Neighborhood leaders interested in applying for a City of Fort Wayne Neighborhood Engagement Grant are invited to attend one of two workshops that will explain the grant application process.The workshops will be held at Foellinger Foundation, 520 E. Berry St., on the following dates, with food and beverages provided.
Saturday, March 14, at 10 a.m.
OR
Monday, March 16, at 6 p.m.
Applications for the grants will open on April 6 and close on May 8, with awards announced in early June.
The Fort Wayne Neighborhood Engagement Grant Program is funded by Foellinger Foundation and provides resources to help neighborhood associations host programs and events that bring residents, businesses, and organizations together to strengthen neighborhood connections.
“Empowering people to take an active role in their community isn’t just important; it supports lasting, positive change,” said Sarah Strimmenos, Foellinger Foundation President and CEO. “Foellinger Foundation is proud to once again partner with the City of Fort Wayne’s Department of Neighborhoods to support the residents they serve.”
Grants range from $2,000 to $5,000 to support activities such as educational workshops, neighborhood clean-up events, and social gatherings. The program's goal is to encourage collaboration and volunteerism in neighborhoods and to address collective needs in ways that can make a positive, lasting impact.
