About this Event
NAMI California is excited to host a Central CA Regional Meeting, free for all family, individuals with lived experience, and community members! This event will offer an in-depth look at various important topics, including the County has changes to mental health funding requirements due to new legislation called BHSA. This replaced MHSA which was implemented in 2004. The new BHSA plan will begin on July 1st 2026.
We will get an update on SB 43 which is new legislation which began in January 2026. This legislation redefines the defination of grave disability. Find out more about SB 43 and how this can change the mental health system in our county and state.
CARE Court began in October 2024 and Kingsview is contracted with Tulare County implementing this important new program. We will be given an update on how CARE Court is working in Tulare County and how this program works with the other programs in our county.
Event will be held at the Wyndham Hotel in Visalia. Lunch will be provided. We look forward to having you at this event!
