Join Petworth Peanuts and Ward 4 Mutual Aid for the 6th Annual Mother’s Day FREE Market!
Starting mid-April, we will be collecting 30,000–50,000 gently used maternity, baby, and kids items to redistribute for FREE at the Market on May 9th!
Items include clothing, shoes, strollers, toys, baby gear, feeding supplies, formula, diapering supplies, furniture, books, play structures, bedding, and much more!

DONATION COLLECTIONS START IN MID-APRIL
Donations will be collected on ~25 participating Ward 4 porches through May 7. Check our website for porch addresses and a map soon: https://www.petworthpeanuts.com/mothersdaymarket
You can also drop off donations directly at the church the week of the market (back alley entrance):
• Thursday, May 7 — 9:30 AM–8:30 PM
• Friday, May 8 — 9:30 AM–4:30 PM
• Saturday, May 9 — BEFORE the market begins at noon

PREPPING YOUR DONATIONS:
All items must be in good used condition. Please do not donate items that are stained, damaged, expired, or missing pieces. Adult items (besides maternity clothing and postpartum supplies) are not accepted.
To help our volunteers process donations quickly, please:
• Bag and label clothing by size
• Tie or bag shoes together in pairs
• Bag and label pumps with all parts included
• Box or bag toys and games with all pieces
• Bag and label loose diapers by size
• Bag stroller/gear accessories and tape them to the main item
Loose pump parts cannot be accepted, unfortunately. Pump kits must be complete.
These simple steps save hundreds of volunteer hours and reduce waste!

SUPPORT THE MARKET
This event distributes tens of thousands of items completely free, but the logistics and costs are significant. Expenses include venue fees, trucks, storage, security, signage, and volunteer supplies.

• Jueves 7 de mayo — 9:30 AM–8:30 PM

CÓMO PREPARAR SUS DONACIONES
Todos los artículos deben estar en buen estado.
Por favor no dones artículos manchados, dañados, vencidos o incompletos. No aceptamos artículos para adultos, excepto ropa de maternidad o artículos para el posparto.
Para ayudar a nuestros voluntarios a procesar las donaciones más rápido, por favor:
• Coloca la ropa en bolsas y etiquétala por talla
• Ata o coloca los zapatos en pares dentro de una bolsa
• Coloca las bombas de extracción de leche en bolsas con todas sus piezas
• Guarda los juguetes y juegos con todas sus piezas en una caja o bolsa
• Coloca los pañales abiertos en bolsas y etiquétalos por talla
• Coloca los accesorios de carriolas u otros equipos en una bolsa y pégalos al artículo principal
No podemos aceptar piezas sueltas de bombas de extracción.
¡Estos pasos simples ahorran cientos de horas de trabajo voluntario y reducen el desperdicio!
