About this Event

The Orlando Alumni Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated and its I.S. Hankins/F.A. Johnson Education Foundation are preparing for the 40th Annual MLK Commemorative Luncheon and 22nd Annual MLK Leadership Forum and hope you are able to attend! Join Fraternity members and the Orlando Mayor’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commission to celebrate what would be Dr. King’s 97th birthday.

The theme for this year’s Luncheon and Forum is:

“The Economics of Justice: Why Equity is Good Business.”

At the Luncheon, community leaders and organizations will be recognized for their contributions to the community with the prestigious DRUM MAJOR AWARD! Categories are Scholarship (student), Civic Affairs, Social Justice, Community Service and Business. Proceeds from this event provide college scholarships to local students, fund the Young Men of Distinction mentoring program and provide support to other educational initiatives of the Foundation.

O UR KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Event Photos

Jeff Johnson is a cultural translator, truth-teller, and ecosystem builder. He moves through the world with a clear purpose: to connect people, ideas, and resources in service of impact that’s real, measurable, and rooted in love. For him, culture isn’t just content or conversation—it’s the soil we grow solutions from.

Known for his unique ability to synthesize complex ideas and make them digestible and actionable, Jeff has spent the last two decades helping leaders, brands, and communities show up with more clarity, courage, and integrity. He leads JIJ Impact, a consulting firm that helps institutions leverage culture to create both market growth and meaningful change. But his work doesn’t begin or end with corporate consulting.

Currently, he’s focused on building bridges between worlds, amplifying voices that shift systems, and creating content that nourishes the spirit as much as it informs the mind.
