What’s the big deal?
4 events will be held over 2 days...
On Saturday we will race for the INTRO32 Clubman Team Championship, and the Clubman F2 Champion will be crowned…
The Saturday will start with plenty of practice for INTRO32 cars. This will be followed by a 4 person team race where each driver in the team will get an 8x3 minute race and each driver's total will be added together to form the overall team result. Teams can use a different car for each driver or share cars amongst the team. Teams are permitted to use a mixture of brushed and brushless INTRO32 cars. To qualify for the Mid America 2026 BSCRA Clubman Club Team Championship, teams must be made up of 4
drivers from the same BSCRA club and contain at least 3 clubman drivers. Don't worry if you are struggling to put a team together; last year there were several "scratch" teams made up on the day so that everyone had a good race and lots of practice before the individual classes.
The team race is a great opportunity to get loads of practice on what might be a new track to most people. It will also give you the chance to check out your INTRO32 setup and get your car inspected for legality before the individual INTRO32 class on Sunday morning. If you have more than one car, then it also allows you to help select your best car and you could be selfish and save it for the individual class!
The draw for the ready to run brushless INTRO32 car will also take place on Saturday after the team race.
The final racing event on Saturday will be the Mid America 2026 BSCRA Clubman Formula 2
Championship.
There will be some practice followed by a technical inspection and 1 minute qualifying (fastest lap) which will seed drivers into an 8x3 minute race. If qualifying is not your speciality, don't panic, as you can still win from any race, by completing more laps that anyone else!
Once racing has finished the local Wetherspoons (The Samuel Lloyd) is a great place to go to discuss setup options for the next day or celebrate your win!
There will also be catering available both days in the National Slot Car Centre.
Sunday will see two more champions crowned...
We will start with INTRO32 following the same format as Clubman F2. The final class is 1/32 Saloon G12 which will also follow the same format as the other individual classes. You can race a INTRO32 car, with a Saloon body, in 1/32 Saloon G12 but you will not be eligible for the overall championship.
The Mid America 2026 BSCRA Clubman Nationals is not like your usual club night racing...
Each clubman competitor will receive goods and a voucher up to the value of £10 to spend at the Mid America UK shop. The voucher can be redeemed at the Mid America shop which will have its usual large range of products on show and available at the event.
A ready to run brushless INTRO32 car, sponsored by Mid America and built by a world champion, will be raffled off for £5 per ticket (only clubman drivers in attendance on the Saturday will be eligible to win the INTRO32 car). In the two previous years the winners have driven the ready to run INTRO32 car to a top 5 and top 6 finish.
With the introduction of a brushless option in INTRO32 for the first time and the anticipation of some very close racing, Mid America will also be giving a prize to the top placed brushed or brushless finisher, whichever is the opposite to the overall winner!
There will also be some extra raffle prizes donated by Mid America for those unsuccessful in winning the INTRO32 car.
Top qualifier in each of the individual classes will receive a bottle of bubbly. Prizes for overall placings in each individual event are also sponsored by Mid America.
If you manage to win an individual class, you will win big! Look at what you will win...
Free entry to the 2026 1/32 BSCRA Nationals with the chance to borrow a race prepared car provided by a BSCRA National Champion.
The winner of Clubman F2 receives a free entry to 32F1 and the chance to borrow a ready to run F1 car.
The winner of INTRO32 receives a free entry to 32ES and the chance to borrow a ready to run 32ES car. The winner of Clubman Saloon receives a free entry to 32Saloon and the chance to borrow a ready to run Saloon car.
After winning an event at the Clubman Nationals, the next logical step is to try your hand at the overall Nationals on the first Bank Holiday weekend in May and who knows? Maybe you might just win the Main Grade final or even take an outright win? It has been done before!
Entry fees are £12 per class and £12 per person for the Team Race
