2026 Medicine White Coat Ceremony
The Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University welcomes students being admitted into the Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program with a traditional White Coat Ceremony.
This milestone celebrates the transition to academic and clinical training, and serves as a symbolic welcome into the medical profession.

Host: Sandrine de Ribaupierre, MD, FRCSC
Info: Dr. de Ribaupierre obtained her MD at the University of Geneva CH and completed Fellowships in Epilepsy (Fondation Rothschild, Paris FR) and Paediatric Neurosurgery (Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto CA). Dr. de Ribaupierre is a Professor of Paediatric Neurosurgery in the Department of Clinical Neurological Sciences at London Health Sciences Centre.

Host: John Yoo, MD, FRCS(C), FACS
Info: Dr. Yoo is Dean, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry; Professor, Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery; and Professor Department of Oncology. Originally from Seoul, South Korean, Dr. Yoo grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and obtained his MD at University of Toronto.

Info: Dr. Johnson is a Professor Emeritus, Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology (Western).
Presentation of White Coats
Host: George Kim, MD, MCISc(FM), CCFP, FCFP
Info: Dr. Kim is the Associate Dean, Admissions and an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine. Originally from Kingston, Ontario, Dr. Kim obtained his MD and MCISc at Western University and currently works at the Byron Family Medical Centre.
Administration of the Physician's Pledge
Host: Robert Stein, MDCM, FRCPC
Info: Dr. Stein is Associate Dean, Learner Experience; Associate Professor, Department of Paediatrics; and Division Head, Paediatric Endocrinology. Dr. Stein obtained his MD at McGill University, completed a Paediatric Residency at the Montreal Children's Hospital, and a Fellowship in Paediatric Endocrinology at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
