Join us at St. John's for the annual McGaughey Organ Recital! Admission is free and donations toward the McGaughey Organ Prize are welcome!The McGaughey Memorial Organ Prize is awarded to a promising student from McGill University who demonstrates artistic ability, noteworthy talent, and competent skills related to pipe organ performance. It is funded from the investment income derived from a bequest received from the estate of the late Isabella McGaughey (1910-1996).
This year's recipient is Manuel Piazza. He is the Assistant Director of Music at St. Thomas’s Anglican Church in Toronto, where he accompanies the High Mass and Evensong choirs and directs the parish's new children’s choral program, The St. Thomas’s Choristers. Manuel currently studies with Dr. Isabelle Demers at McGill University, where he is working towards a Postgraduate Artist Diploma.
