Let’s face it….we creative types tend to accumulate….things.Whether it’s buying more paint because we forgot which colour(s) we needed when we were at the store so we just got more of everything, or collecting bits and pieces of things that we “can probably use for something eventually,” or because we got into watercolour painting at one point and bought ALL THE THINGS and now don’t use them anymore because we moved on to acrylic or oil painting or collage or photography….the list of reasons goes on and on.
Like, why do I have a big tote of little scraps of fancy paper and bits of fabric?
Shut up, that’s why. Mind your business.
Anyway….here’s your chance to clear up some of that situation, have some fun, maybe make some new friends, and sell your creations all at the same time!
The Crow’s Nest is hosting an event we’re calling Makers’ Swap ‘n’ Shop to wrap up the summer, and we’d love for you to join us from noon to 4 pm on Saturday, August 29 for all the fun!
It’s one part artist market, one part garage sale, one part “maker mingler” social event…but it’s all parts fun.
Let us know if you’d like a space, and what you’ll be bringing to sell, swap, or donate to an artist in need, whether it’s art supplies or tools, your own artistic creations, prints you’ve got up in your home that don’t really suit your taste anymore…whatever!
We’re keeping the cost low on this one, with spaces only $20 each. It’s an “All Outdoor” event in our parking lot, so you’ll need to bring your own table (and tent if you feel like you want one) and chairs, but it’s sure to be a great time, so hit us up for an application ASAP before we fill up!
