Trot down to Chinatown, Southport on Saturday 21 February where a vibrant melting pot of colour, cuisine, celebration and cultural entertainment awaits! 🐎 This Lunar New Year we’re celebrating the Year of the Horse – representing vitality and perseverance.
Festivities kick off at 3pm along Davenport and Young Streets and include:
🐉 Lion and dragon dancers
🖋️ Kids’ activities (including lotus origami making, Chinese stamp making, woodblock printing, Chinese name writing, face painting and diabolo playing)
🧧 SOPO wishing tree
🥁 Kizuna drummers
🥡 Food trucks
⛩️ Market stalls
🎆 Fireworks finale at 7:30pm.
