REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!! REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON 04.06.2026
We are excited to officially announce our brand new event for 2026, the Local 5230 Pickleball Fundraiser and Special Tournament.
This is our first year hosting this event, and registration is officially open now. Registration will close on April 6, 2026. The event will take place on April 25, 2026 at The Picklr, located at 260 W North Ave in Villa Park, Illinois 
This event is open to all skill levels and will include both tournament play and open play opportunities.
TOURNAMENT PLAY
Tournament play will run from 9 AM to noon and is open to participants ages 12 and older.
Tournament registration is required in teams of two.
Cost is $100 per person or $200 per team.
Each registered team will automatically be entered into the tournament and will compete for cash prizes, trophies, and additional prizes.
First-place winners will receive free entry into next year’s pickleball tournament.
Second-place winners will receive 50 percent off entry into next year’s tournament.
The tournament will begin with a round robin format, where every team plays against the other teams. Results from round robin play will determine seeding for the elimination bracket. Teams will then compete in elimination rounds until a first and second place winner is determined.
Tournament participants are also welcome to use any available open courts during tournament play until noon.
Please note that tournament spots are limited. We are accepting a maximum of 20 teams of two. If you plan on playing in the tournament, we strongly encourage you to register early and reserve your spot.
TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION BONUS
Every player registered for the tournament will receive one of our brand new 2026 Local 5230 Pickleball shirts included with registration.
OPEN PLAY
Open play will run from noon to 4 PM and is open to the community, friends, families, elected officials, other unions, and anyone who wants to come out and play for fun.
Open play is open to participants ages 12 and older. Courts will be rotated to give everyone an opportunity to play.

This event is designed for competition, community, and fun. While we are keeping the tournament portion smaller this first year, our goal is to grow this event in the future if it is successful.
