Celebrating dance as an artform in Public EducationThe 2026 Lower North Coast Dance Festival (LNCDF) presents works of more than 1500 students from Kindergarten to Year 12 from 31 public schools of the Lower North Coast Network. Audiences are treated to a showcase of high quality, well-choreographed items that use the Dance Syllabus as the foundation for creating work with integrity and merit.
The focus of the Dance Festival is producing excellence in dance and promoting the high calibre of students, teachers, support staff, performers, and choreographers in the Lower North Coast region.
Originally adopted from the Department of Education State Dance Festival, the LNCDF has since grown into a beautiful non-competitive celebration of Public Education through dance.
The Festival provides an avenue for first time performers through to elite dancers.
The Festival also supports students who wish to gain experience in event production elements through the LNCDF student compere program along with working backstage assisting with sound, lighting and stage management.
