About this Event
My son Logan passed away from leukemia at the age of 6 on May 4, 2002. In 2022 I decided to to do something different for the anniversary of his passing to keep his memory alive, to bring awareness to childhood cancer and here we are having our 5th annual Jeep benefit ride. This year the ride will again benefit Give Kids the World, since 2022 we have been able to raise $89418.09 for charity, none of this would be possible without everyone's support.
The ride this year will fall a few months of what would've been Logan's 30th birthday so I'm hoping to make this one the best yet and pushing to surpass the $33926.00 that we raised last year. I can't beging to express my sincere appreciation to all of those who continue to support me to help make a difference in the lives of kids with life threatening illnesses.
This is a scenic (stock friendly) back roads ride, this event is open to ANY vehicle that would like to join us and can handle gravel roads and creeks. The ride will begin at Eminence schools and will end at Lake Melissa Campground where there will be silent auction items, food, fun and fellowship.
Meeting time - 10:00 am (registration and socializing), wheels rolling at 11:30am
Please register by April 5th to insure you get an event t-shirt we will have a few the day of the event but sold out quickly last year.
All proceeds from this event will go to Give Kids The World
A little bit about Give Kids the World (GKTW).......
Give Kids The World Village is an 89-acre, whimsical nonprofit resort in Kissimmee, Florida, that provides week-long, cost-free wish vacations to critically ill children and their families from around the world who want to visit Central Florida.
A stay at the Village is much more than a vacation. During one incredible week, wish families laugh, play, and create priceless memories together away from hospital visits and medical procedures. It's a magical week of "YES" where wish kids can experience the simple joys of childhood, and where families can recapture some of the precious moments that may have been missed due to illness.
Since 1986, Give Kids The World Village has welcomes more than 201,000 from all 50 states and 78 countries. The Village is made possible by the support of generous donors and community partners, as well as thousands of passionate volunteers – who donate their time and talent making wishes come true.
