In celebration of International Women’s Day, Women of Toledo (WOT) is hosting a luncheon on Wednesday, March 10, 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Glass City Center in Toledo. This annual convening brings together business leaders, funders, policymakers, and community partners to engage in meaningful dialogue and collective action around women’s equity and workforce advancement.
International Women's Day (IWD) is a global day of celebration that honors women's social, economic, cultural, and political achievements and calls for action toward gender parity and inclusion. As part of its ongoing advocacy and community engagement efforts, Women of Toledo observes this day in celebration, to raise awareness, and call for collective action for equality.
This year’s theme, Reimagining the Systems That Shape Care, Culture & Community, invites us to look beyond individual effort and examine how workplace and economic systems can better support working women and caregivers. Together, we will explore how caregiving intersects with the workplace and marketplace, and how long-standing imbalances call for shared, system-level solutions.
The program will open with a short-form video testimonial series elevating the voices and lived experiences of working women and caregivers. These authentic stories will ground the panelist conversation, shifting the narrative from individual resilience to shared accountability and structural responsibility, and setting the stage for a thoughtful and forward-looking dialogue. Our main panel will address critical issues such as access to childcare, pay equity, workplace labor law, and entrepreneurship, exploring how existing systems can be redesigned to better serve individuals, families, businesses, and communities alike. This conversation is not only reflective but strategic, highlighting how investing in supportive systems strengthens workforce retention, fuels economic growth, and builds more inclusive and resilient communities.
