On 28 April each year, countries around the world pause to remember and commemorate those who have lost their lives at work and share their memories.The latest data reported by Safe Work Australia shows that in 2022, 195 workers were fatally injured at work in Australia. Any fatality at work is unacceptable. The International Day of Mourning is a time to recognise the importance of work health and safety to prevent any work-related fatalities and injuries.
