About this Event
Limited early bird registration for the inaugural Georgia Solar Farm Summit in Athens July 15 & 16 is now available! Plug into the 1st in a series of state-focused agrivoltaics development exhibitions on the gorgeous campus of the The University of Georgia for 2+ difference-making days of instructive, illuminating and inspiring farming + solar programming and social interconnection! Join Georgia’s agrivoltaics community as it convenes for an uncommonly interdisciplinary, constructive, and collaborative event dedicated to the development of agrivoltaics and ecovoltaics (AgPV) best practices.
AgPV preserves agricultural production and soil health by combining solar technology with farming practices that stack both functions into one multipurpose system. And AgPV not only harvests more on-farm electricity to meet growing demand, but can add genuine performance advantage in the field and produce wider positive impacts that support farmers, strengthen farming communities, reenergize local food systems, and/or conserve habitat.
Attendees to the inaugural Georgia Solar Farm Summit (Georgia-SFS) can expect an immersive AgPV development conference and exhibition experience of the very highest educational caliber. A robust program will present dozens of today‛s leading practitioners working through an AgPV syllabus that builds from entry-level basics of a land-based solar project; into exploration of the solar lifecycle from siting through construction, operation, and decommissioning; up to the state of the art of agrivoltaics science and farming + solar field results.
Featuring the region’s foremost minds and hands, and hosting many national luminaries in energy, environment and economic development as well, the 2-day Georgia-SFS program will feature the brilliant people, best practices, and breakthrough projects taking the Peach State’s AgPV potential to the next level!
Multiple classes of passes are available to attend, including the AgPV Expo pass! The one-of-a-kind AgPV Expo gives you direct access to see the dual-harvest solar farms already in operation and meet the people doing the work for yourself, and ask them your questions!
And a supercharged social experience at the Georgia-SFS will also feature numerous networking opportunities each day — and night — starting with a pre-conference networking event before the conference, the evening of July 14! And concluding with an after party!!
