The Cedar Valley Annual Rock Show! Fun for all ages and open to the public. This year's show focuses on Iowa's Fabulous Fossils. There will be displays with educational posters and programs on fossils, along with demonstrations, activities, hot food, silent auction, raffle, and many dealers from across the nation selling amazing specimens of all kinds. Bring your rocks in for identification.
Children can make cast fossils, pan for gold, crack geodes open, interact with real dinosaur bones, sluice for minerals, and dig in the Pebble Pit. Children can purchase items like rock and mineral collections or grab bags for just a dollar. Other items for children are from one cent to fifty cents.
