It's the last FULL day of our cruise, but never fear! We WILL go out with a bang! We'll be partying at one of the Caribbean's most famous locations....the Le Select Bar and Cheeseburger Grill. Marius Stakelborough founded this establishment in 1949, and operated it until his death. He and Jimmy Buffett were close friends, and Buffett performed there several times over the years. You will see photos of JB and Marius throughout the place. It is rumored to be where Buffett wrote "Cheeseburger in Paradise" (it's not) but they do have a very, very good cheeseburger there! They have been known to dispense unsolicited free liquor shots to our group over the years (they really like us) so be ready! Also, brush up on your French (that is, if you know any). St. Bart's is French-speaking, and they do appreciate you making an effort. Wear a beret if you have one, and smoke cigarettes underhanded!For the record, we have partied at Le Select at least 6 times over the years on a Windstar Cruise. Many folks on our cruise still do not remember how they got back to the boat.
