The Inaugural Fort Wayne Metro USBC "Triple Threat Trios Championships" takes place on Saturday & Sunday, March 28th & 29th, 2026 at Pro Bowl West in Fort Wayne, Indiana2026 FORT WAYNE METRO USBC TRIPLE THREAT TRIOS CHAMPIOINSHIPS – RULES
1. ELIGIBILITY: The Ft. Wayne Metro USBC “Triple Threat Trios Championships” are open for bowlers who compete in any designated Ft. Wayne Metro USBC League. To be eligible to enter this tournament you must A) Have a Ft. Wayne Metro USBC Sanction Card or a Ft. Wayne Metro USBC associate card, B) Must be CURRENTLY competing in a Fort Wayne Metro USBC sanctioned league with a minimum 12 game average as of March 1st, 2026. BOWLERS WHO ARE MEMBERS OF ADJACENT ASSOCIATIONS (ADAMS CO., DEKALB CO., NOBLE CO., STEUBEN CO.) MAY BE ELIGIBLE TO ENTER AT THE COST OF $10/PERSON LOCAL SANCTION AND PROOF OF 2025-2026 NATIONAL SANCTION IN ADDITION TO STANDARD ENTRY FEE.
2. AVERAGES: Averages are for handicap purposes only. Averages will be based on the highest from the 2024-2025 yearbook. If a competitor does not have a yearbook average (2024-2025) then the player will use their HIGHEST CURRENT AVERAGE in a Fort Wayne Metro USBC (or adjacent association) sanctioned league as of March 1st, 2026 with a minimum of 12 games completed. The “10 Pin Rule WILL BE IN EFFECT. Bowlers who have an average as of March 1st, 2026 that is 10 or more pins higher than their previous season average (MINIMUM 21 GAMES) must declare highest average the 1st time bowling in tournament and current average will be used. This tournament is handicapped based on TEAM AVERAGE of 80% from 660.
3. MEMBERSHIP / ROSTERS: Team Captain’s Responsibility: The team captain will be responsible to make any changes to the line-up no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of competition on each shift. All team captains will check into the tournament office no later than one half hour prior to the start of a shift. No subs will be used without proper verification of membership. Special requests will be honored when both entries are submitted at the same time.
4. PARTICIPATION: Multiple participation is permitted but rosters may have NO MORE than TWO participants on MULITPLE ROSTERS TOGETHER (Must change at least ONE BOWLER on each shift).
5. DIVISION BREAKDOWN: The tournament will consist of ONE HANDICAP “STANDARD” DIVISION.
6. AWARDS & PRIZES / SPONSORSHIP: All prize money returned 100%. The ratio used will be of one (1) prize to each four (4) entries. All sponsorship monies received by the Fort Wayne Metro USBC will be used to supplement the prize fund.
7. CHECK-IN PROCEDURE / TOURNAMENT MANAGER AUTHORITY: RESERVATIONS will be accepted but must be paid by the reservation deadline, WEDNESDAY, MARCH 25th, 2026 or reservation may not be honored. ALL MONIES MUST be included with entry blank. Any changes in line-ups must be submitted prior to the start of the participant’s respective shift. All captains MUST report 30 minutes before bowling and will be held responsible for submitting correct averages.
8. TIME RULES / LIMITS: Any player or team arriving late shall begin play and the score(s) shall count beginning with the frame then being bowled. A time limit has been put in place for this event. A duration of 2:15 HOURS will be the respective time limit for each shift. FAILURE TO COMPLETE IN DESIGNATED TIME WILL RESULT IN SCORES BEING MARKED AS ZERO FOR FRAMES MISSED.
9. VERIFICATION: Any bowler or bowlers MAY be required to provide proof of average if requested. Any bowlers with averages at or above 220 will not have to be verified.
10. EQUIPMENT: Any new bowling balls manufactured and approved by USBC, but NOT worldwide released by MARCH 27th, 2026 will NOT be allowed in competition. The penalty for non-compliance will be immediate disqualification of the bowler in the event. No balance holes will be permitted in ANY balls used in competition. All holes drilled must be used for gripping purposes on every delivery. No more than three (3) ounces of weight on any halves of the ball. Violation of tournament rules will carry the penalty of disqualification of the bowler with no refund. ALL TWO-HANDED PLAYERS MUST HAVE AN “X” MARKED ON THEIR BALL TO INDICATE WHERE THEIR PALM IS PLACED DURING COMPETITION.
11. LANE ETIQUETTE: Bowlers are expected to be in designated bowlers’ area and ready to bowl when applicable. No more than THREE (3) re-racks will be permitted per participant, per event unless authorized by a designated tournament official.
12. ALL USBC RULES WILL BE IN EFFECT. ANY and ALL rules not covered above will default back to the 2025-2026 USBC National Rulebook.
13. ENTRY FEES: The entry fees for each bowler will be $35.00 per person ($105.00 per team). All entry fees are to accompany entry blank at time of submission. Any overages or shortages must be completed prior to the start of the tournament or entrants will be disqualified.
