On May 3, 2023, Wichita firefighters responded to a house fire after receiving reports of "no one inside." Minutes later, crews learned a victim was trapped in the basement and fighting to survive. What followed was a high-stakes rescue where firefighters had to make split-second decisions, adapt tactics, and ultimately use their own bodies to shield the victim from the fire. Now, Isaac Frazier brings that story to the stage. You'll hear the firsthand account of what happened that day, the choices made under pressure, and the lessons every firefighter can apply on the next call. Isaac Frazier is a second-generation firefighter with over 22 years of service. He currently serves with the Wichita Fire Department, assigned to Truck Company 2, and is the owner of Tactical Advantage Training. Previously, he was a Special Operations Captain with St. Johns County Fire/Rescue in Florida. Isaac has taught across the nation and was a lead hands-on instructor at FDIC International, an FDIC speaker, a contributor to Fire Engineering, and a NAVRA assessor. He is also the creator of the Into The Job Firefighter Symposium, which focuses on real-world training and firefighter development. His company, Tactical Advantage Training, offers courses like Gaining the Tactical Advantage, Tactical Extrication, and Tactical Search, all of which emphasize mental focus and preparation for high-pressure situations. Isaac has been recognized for his heroic actions and was a recipient of the state's 2024 Tom McGaughey Fire Service Award, the Medal of Valor, along with Wichita's Fireman of the Year for his role in a life-saving rescue during a May 2023 incident in Wichita.
