⚔️ BrightSIDE Field Day 2026: Highland Edition ⚔️
Families and friends of Cookeville BrightSIDE Cooperative are invited to join us for a one-of-a-kind summer field day inspired by the traditional Scottish Highland Games!
Volunteer Highland Games athletes from across our region will be joining us to coach our homeschool children in a variety of safe, modified Highland events and throwing activities. Families will have the opportunity to learn about Scottish culture, sportsmanship, teamwork, and strength through hands-on participation and play.
After lunch, we’ll gather together for a traditional Celtic céilí hosted by Middle Tennessee Irish Music and Dance, complete with live folk music and community dancing for all ages! Get ready for bagpipes, Algood!

This is a family-attended event. Parents and caregivers are responsible for supervising their children throughout the day.
Please wear comfortable outdoor clothing, bring water bottles, sunscreen, camp chairs or picnic blankets. Canopies are encouraged as shade will be limited. Other than that, prepare for a full day of movement, music, and community fun!
Registration and participation waiver required for all participating children and adults.
