Join the Ely Folk School in a celebration of spring with live music and a bonfire at Semer’s Beach! We’ll set up the yard games, all you need to do is tell your friends and swing on by!
We invite you to participate in this event POTLUCK STYLE, and bring a batch of homemade hand pies (or other treat!) to share. While Ely Folk School volunteers will still be assembling our classic wild rice hand pies at Makers Morning on April 30th (all are welcome), we can never make enough to meet the demand. As such, we are inviting members of the community to bring a batch to share at the bonfire. Please be sure to label your hand pies with all ingredients.
This annual event falls each May the Wednesday prior to our favorite holiday - Fishing Opener! We love being able to enjoy the start of the season with you all before summer enters full swing. We'll see you there, rain or shine! Thanks to Stony River for the live music.
There is no cover charge for this event, but we will be looking for goodwill donations to help us cover the costs of the band, park rental, and liquor license.
