The Eastern Shore Mission of Mercy was first held in 2013. Subsequent events occurred in 2015, 2019, & 2024.Over those four events, over 4.1 million dollars in clinical services were provided with the aid of over 5,300 volunteers who gave over 45,500 combined hours of their time.
This year's event takes place on March 27th & 28th at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center.
So who are our patients at the ESMOM?
They are a our friends, service industry co-workers, church and community members & veterans.
Given our rural region, the shifts in Medicare and Medicaid insurance coverage, as well as the impact of inflation on household budgets, Mission of Mercy patients are mothers, fathers, grandparents, brothers & sisters who are often in pain.
