About this Event
Our annual Early Childhood Conference with lectures, discussions, eurythmy and more!
The Micha-el Institute's Early Childhood Summer Conference in 2026 will be held from Sunday, July 26th to Saturday, August 8th at Cedarwood Waldorf School in Portland. The theme will be "Imagination Through Storytelling". After the opening evening lecture, each morning will start with eurhythmy followed by lectures, practical demonstrations, and discussions filled with spiritual wisdom based on anthroposophy. Following singing sessions, workshops to create puppets and practice puppetry will make up the activities in the afternoons.
It would be wonderful to have a new teacher from your school at the conference. However, everyone interested in learning about Early Childhood, whether a beginner or an experienced early childhood educator, is welcome.
PLEASE NOTE: A supplies fee of about $75-$100 per week and will be collected at the conference.
July 26: Opening Plenum begins at 6:30pm.
July 27-August 8: Starts at 8:30am and ends at 4:40 pm; except August 1 & 8 end at 12:00pm, and no classes on August 2.
