Our annual photo mixer is continuing to grow and offer even more to the community! The Detroit Shipping Co., a local favorite with a creative, artsy vibe, is the perfect venue for creatives to come together. With plenty of space to mingle and enjoy the atmosphere, this will be our best event yet again—you don’t want to miss it!

$15 General Admission – Includes:

Want to warm up your camera before the event officially starts? Join one of our pre-event photowalks, hosted by our very own staff!

This is a great way to meet fellow attendees early and get inspired before the main event.

6:00 PM – Doors Open + Check-In Begins

• Pick up your drink ticket and perk selection at check-in (backyard space at the Detroit Shipping Co.)
• Browse brand rep tables and borrow gear with your valid photo ID
• Enter our prize raffle

6:00 – 9:00 PM – Explore, Shoot, and Connect

• FREE gear loans from top brands: (You'll need a valid I.D. to leave with the reps during the duration of the loan)
  Canon, Nikon, Sony, Leica, Fujifilm, & Westcott
• Chat with brand reps about your favorite lenses, cameras, and techniques
• Use your own camera or try something new from our loaner gear
• Mingle with fellow creatives and shoot your portfolio to the next level
• Get creative at our shooting stations:

⚡ Product Photography Station featuring products from local favorite! (details to come)

8:15 PM – Raffle Drawings Begin!

• We’re giving away over $1,000 in prizes!

• Your own SD card (discounted cards available onsite if needed)

• A valid photo ID (required for gear loans)

Since taking over Woodward Camera in 2022, our new management has focused on customer service. While honoring its 56-year legacy, we’re committed to creating a space where photographers of all levels can find honest advice, quality gear, and a team that truly cares about their success.

Detroit Shipping Co. is a food hall, beer garden, and event space featuring independent food vendors, art galleries, retail shops, music & more. Since its opening in 2018, DSC has actively engaged with the local community by showcasing work from local artists, collaborating with numerous organizations and hosting events to support Detroit residents.

There is limited free parking outside of the venue.

We highly recommend arriving early if you want to snag a spot close to the venue! There are paid parking lots/structures within a few minutes of walking from the venue, so we advise you plan your visit ahead of time.
