“His sound is lustrous; his playing is lyrical and full of feeling; he thinks not only of the passing notesbut of the overall form. Moreover, O’Hora is blessed with meticulous taste – there was not a vulgar, swooning or overstated passage in the program.” - The Washington Post
Ronan O'Hora, one of Britain's best-loved artists, is Head of Keyboard Studies and Advanced Performance Studies at the Guildhall School of Drama and Music in London and an internationally renowned pianist.
He celebrated for the depth, clarity, and refined artistry that characterise his playing.
A programme of towering Romantic masterpieces, this piano concert showcases Chopin’s Piano Sonata No. 3, a work of poetic beauty and dramatic contrast, alongside Brahms’s Piano Sonata No. 3, a richly expansive and impassioned sonata of symphonic scale.
Demonstrating a combination of intellectual rigour and expressive poise, O'Hora provides interpretations of lasting substance and artistic distinction.
