About this Event
City Nature Challenge (CNC) is an international effort for people to find and document plants and wildlife in cities. It's an annual four-day global bioblitz at the end of April, where cities collaborate to see what can be accomplished when we all work toward a common goal.
To help contribute to our understanding of biodiversity in Toronto, TRCA is hosting a CNC event at Biidaasige Park! On Friday, April 24th, help us record wild plants, insects, birds and more, and then share your observations to the City Nature Challenge 2026: Toronto and GTA iNaturalist project.
To participate in the bioblitz, you will need to bring a data-enabled device with the iNaturalist app installed. iNaturalist is a platform that puts nature at your fingertips, allowing anyone to record and share nature observations and contribute to biodiversity science. Additional data-enabled devices will be available to borrow for the activity.
