2026 Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association Convention!
Registration is open for the annual event honoring outstanding broadcast journalism in Maryland, Delaware and Washington, D.C. This year's convention will be held May 29-May 31 at the Princess Royale Oceanfront Resort in Ocean City, Md.
Activities kick off Friday at 7:00 p.m. with a Crab Feast and Auction at Hooper's Crab House, 2913 Ocean Gateway, West Ocean City, to benefit the Bob Shilling Memorial Scholarship. Saturday starts with a 9:00 a.m. business meeting and Seminar with two prominent experts on "Social Media Storytelling & AI Trends."
Then there's the Awards Reception & Banquet at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday night, breakfast on Sunday, and of course, the BEACH throughout the weekend!
The deadline to purchase tickets is 5:00 p.m., Thursday, May 14. The best ticket value is the Full Convention price. This includes the Crab Feast & Auction, Saturday Breakfast & Seminar, Awards Reception & Banquet and Sunday Breakfast.

Hotel Reservations
Princess Royale Oceanfront, Oceanfront on 91st Street, is offering a special group rate of $209 per night, beginning Thursday through Monday, 5/28-6/1. Choose one night, or all four. All rooms are suite options, so bring the family!
The deadline to reserve your room is May 7, but don't wait until then to book! Rooms at these rates on a prime beach weekend won’t last long!
