The new 2026 National Mahjong League card is coming!
Join Mahjong Mischief for a special session where we open the new card together, take a first look at the patterns, and begin exploring what the coming Mahjong year might bring.
Each year the new card introduces fresh possibilities, new combinations, and a few surprises. In this session we’ll walk through the structure of the card, highlight interesting patterns to watch for, and talk through early strategic ideas as players begin to learn the new layout.
We’ll also play a few guided practice rounds so you can start becoming familiar with the card in a relaxed and supportive environment.
This class is designed for players who already know the basics of American Mahjong and are excited to begin exploring the 2026 card.
Come celebrate the start of a new Mahjong season with learning, strategy, and community around the Mahjong table.Angela Buikema from Mahjong Mischief will guide you step by step in a friendly, small-group setting. (Angela is a certified Oh My Mahjong Instructor and a member of the Mahj Life Instructor Guild.) All teaching materials and mahjong sets are provided. Teaching assistants will also provide additional coaching and explanations table-side.
We’ll begin promptly at 6:30 pm, so arrive a little early to get a drink, find your seat, and settle in before class begins.
Food & Drinks:
Brewpoint’s evening coffee, cocktail & charcuterie menu will be available for purchase. Just bring it to the table and enjoy while you play. (FYI - Brewpoint is now cashless.)
