CanSkate Element Event Title & Ice Sponsor: Atlantic Commodities & Award Sponsor Amalgamated Dairies Limited, is a fun and exciting performance opportunity for skaters in Skate Canada’s learn-to-skate program. It gives skaters a chance to show off what they’ve been learning on the ice in a relaxed, encouraging environment — and they usually have a blast doing it!During the event, skaters will demonstrate one specific skill (element) from each discipline — Agility, Control, and Balance — that matches their current CanSkate level. This is not a test and does not mean your skater is passing their level. Skaters are only showcasing selected skills, not all the requirements of the level.
The focus is on having fun, building confidence, and enjoying the experience of performing. There are no rankings or competition — just encouragement, smiles, and positive feedback.
Skaters may dress up or dress down — costumes, skating outfits, or regular skating attire are all welcome. The goal is for skaters to feel comfortable and confident on the ice.
Additional Event Details:
• The event starts at 4:30 pm half hour timeslots will be set up, this will be emailed out and posted on the facebook group on Friday Feb 13th.
• Buffy Boily Photography will be set up starting at 5:30 pm if you choose to have photos taken (Payment directly to her, please see graphic)
• Candy bags and other fun items will be available for purchase
• 50/50 will be for sale
• Summerside Skating Club crested clothing will be for sale
• Photos and awards (certificates and medals) Thank you ADL will be presented after the event upstairs by the windows
It’s a great evening to celebrate your skater’s progress and enjoy a fun skating experience together!
