Official Co-Host: The Space Law Society, University of Ottawa

Founded in 2023 at the University of Ottawa, the Space Law Society (SLS) is a student-led organization dedicated to exploring the rapidly evolving field of space law.

SLS provides a platform for law students to engage with the legal, regulatory, and policy challenges surrounding outer space through a range of dynamic events and initiatives—from career panels and research showcases to networking opportunities with government and industry professionals.

With a three-part mandate to:

  1. Contribute to the development of space law domestically and internationally,
  2. Create and promote practical opportunities for students, and
  3. Engage community, industry, and government,

The Space Law Society serves as a hub for aspiring space lawyers and policy leaders, passionate about shaping the legal future of humanity’s next great frontier.
