Join us in person or virtually for the 2026 Bob Brower Scientific Symposium. Please join us and learn more about the current state of Owasco Lake and how YOU can take action to help our lake be resilient to the impacts of climate change.
This year, OWLA is proud to be partnering with New York Section American Water Works Association to offer the following Continuing Education Unit credits:
- 3.0 - Water
- 3.0 - P.E.
You must indicate in registration if you are interested in receiving NYS AWWA credits.

- Adam Effler(OLWMC) on review 9E Coordination Committee projects and programming implementation according to the objectives of the Owasco Lake Watershed 9E Plan.
- Jesse Lloyd (OLWMC) with an update on the status of Owasco Lake Watershed Rules and Regulations and watershed inspection themes and outcomes.
- Seth Jensen (City of Auburn) on initiatives and goals of the City of Auburn to preserve and continue to work towards a healthy Owasco Lake.
- Rick Smith(Global Aquatic Research) on the progress and next steps surrounding HABs and foam in the Finger Lakes.
- Matt Del Buono(Cornell HWA Initiative) on managing and monitoring hemlock health in the watershed.
