On the first Monday* of the month, the Health Department waives the vaccine administration fee for children ages two and younger who qualify for the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program, so their vaccinations are completely free!
*If the first Monday falls on a holiday when the building is closed, the event will be held on the 2nd Monday.
We accept walk-ins 8:30 AM - 4 PM. A parent or guardian must be present with the child. Please bring your child's immunization record.
Vaccines for Children Program Eligibility
To qualify for the Vaccines for Children Program, children must meet at least one of the following requirements:
-American Indian or Alaska Native,
-Medicaid-eligible,
-Uninsured, or
-Underinsured (for individuals whose insurance does not cover childhood immunizations).
Learn more about the federally funded Vaccines for Children Program by visiting https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines-for-children/vfc-information-for-parents/index.html.
Low-Cost Vaccines on Other Days of the Month:
When it is not the first Monday of the month, or if you need vaccines for children over the age of two, the Wyandotte County Public Health Department offers routine childhood immunizations through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program for eligible children ages 18 and younger. A $20 administration fee applies for each vaccination. There is no cost for the vaccines themselves. Vaccinations are available on a walk-in basis Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8:30 AM – 4 PM, and Wednesday, 8:30 AM - 6 PM. Learn more at wycokck.org/health.
