New Author Bootcamp: 24 Pre-Conference Training Sessions
Every week, starting in October, anyone who has registered for the conference will be invited to online classes covering planning, writing, revising, promoting, and publishing a book. This series is a stellar start for anyone who has never published a book before. The sessions will alternate between pre-recorded videos distributed to registrants and live open office hours allow NAB students to asks questions and get support with applying what they've learned to their specific project.
Perk Pack: Freebies for Entertainment and Education
This page is for registrants only and is where you'll find the Discount Depot filled with special deals from our partners and sponsors, NAB session materials (worksheets, videos, transcripts, etc.), the Link Library with links to money-saving and career-enhancing resources every author should be aware of, and free ebooks in fiction and nonfiction genres to help you get a model for the kinds of books that are making an impact in various niches throughout the publishing industry.
Editor Connection Program: Dipping Your Toe in the Editorial Waters
For writers who have never worked with a professional editor before, the ECP allows you to be linked up with an editor who specializes in your genre and will provide an editing sample on the first 10 pages of your manuscript. When you register, you just select your genre and upload your sample (with your email address included!) and an editor who specializes in your genre will work their magic! They'll send you the sample so you can see the various ways in which working with a professional editor can take your writing to the next level.
Pro Pitching: One-on-One Commercials for Services
Pro Pitches give you the opportunity to select which of our advertisers (cover designers, audiobook narrators, etc.) you want to be contacted by and pitched to. There's no obligation to purchase services from them, and you don't have to participate at all if you don't want to.
